2014 Indy Runners Fall Marathon / Half Marathon Training Program

Full: 10 miles Half: 4 miles
The 9th annual Indy Runners Fall Race Training Program for full and half marathons returns! This program (FREE to club members!) begins Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 7:30am and continues each Saturday on the wooden deck at the corner of Westfield Blvd and Winthrop Ave. in Broad Ripple. This informal program will suggest distances preparing participants for October/November races, in particular the Indianapolis Marathon on October 18, 2014 and the Monumental Marathon on November 1, 2014. We averaged over 80 participants per week last year! Get the details.

Pints for Parks
Please join us for our second "official social" of the month at the Indianapolis Parks Foundation for Pints for Parks Wednesday, July 30th. As usual we'll run from the downtown Athenaeum YMCA at 6:00pm then make our way to Flat12 Bierwerks at 414 Dorman Street post run. Even if you can't make the run please join us any time until 8:30 for this fun event. $1 from every beer sold supports the work of the Indianapolis Parks Foundation! We certainly get our benefit out of the parks (read: Monon, Towpath, Canal, Eagle Creek, Fort Ben...) so this will be a great way to support the crew. Need more details? Click here.
Structured Speed Sessions
Last year, Indy Runners offered the opportunity to be involved with weekly quality running sessions arranged by Coach Matt Ebersole of Personal Best Training. We're doing it again in 2014. This time, we will offer an 18 week session on Tuesday evenings starting July 1, 2014 for only $50. That's just $2.78 per session! Registration is now open.

Come Enjoy Our Club Runs and Walks
Indy Runners offers several club runs and walks each week. These runs occur year-round, including right now! We have a Sunday run at Ft. Harrison, Tuesday run in Broad Ripple (while Hinkle Fieldhouse is under construction), Wednesday run and walk at the downtown Atheneaum YMCA, and a Saturday run and walk in Broad Ripple. If you haven't made it out to a weekly club run or walk in a while (or ever), we invite you to come out and join us!
