Run the Monon!

The 14th annual Indy Runners and Walkers Fall Race Training Program for full and half marathons returns! This program is included with your 12 month  club membership! (Not a member yet? Join us!) The program begins Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 7:30am (8:00am starting in October) and continues each Saturday from the porch at the corner of Westfield Blvd and Winthrop Ave. in Broad Ripple. Our program will suggest distances preparing participants for October/November races, in particular the Indianapolis Half Marathon and Monumental MarathonWe averaged 70-100 participants per week last year. Come and run or walk with us even if you're not training for anything! Get the details.

Tenth Annual "Run The Monon" Event!

On October 19, 2019, Indy Runners and Walkers will again run the Monon Trail, from the Whole Foods at Clay Terrace to the American College of Sports Medicine (20 miles!) in downtown Indianapolis. We'll follow it with boxed lunches. A half marathon training distance (11 miles) will be available starting at E. 75th Street for both runners and walkers. This is a great opportunity to get in a special long run or walk as part of your marathon or half marathon training! 2020 Sam Costa registration is open!

Sam Costa LogoThe 51st annual Sam Costa Half Marathon and 15th annual Sam Costa Quarter Marathon sponsored by Mike Helms, DPM will be held at Northview Church in Carmel, Indiana on Saturday, March 21, 2020. This is the premiere race put on by Indy Runners and Walkers and Indiana's oldest race! Can't run or walk the event? Please consider volunteering. Get the details!

Come Enjoy Our Club Runs and Walks

Club RunIndy Runners offers several club runs and walks each week. These runs occur year-round, including right now! We have a Sunday run at Ft. Harrison, Tuesday run at Hinkle Fieldhouse, Wednesday run and walk at the downtown Atheneaum YMCA, Thursday run in Broad Ripple, and a Saturday run and walk in Broad Ripple. If you haven't made it out to a weekly club run or walk in a while (or ever), we invite you to come out and join us!

Emails Indy Runners currently has a couple different email lists. The first is for Indy Runners members only. You join that list by becoming a member of our club. The list sometimes includes information you can't find anywhere else like race discounts. The other list is our general email list. Join the general email list!

New Recliner to Finish Liner 5K Training Program!

Indy Runners and Walkers is partnering with Beyond Monumental and the Athletic Annex to present the new Recliner to Finish Liner 5K Training Program for beginning runners and walkers! The program starts on Thursday, July 11, 2019, and is geared toward the Indianapolis 5K at Fort Ben on October 5, 2019. Get the details!

Drinking Fountain Coming to the Central Canal Towpath!

Drinking Fountain Indy Runners and Walkers is raising funds to install a drinking fountain along the Central Canal Towpath at 52nd Street near Butler University. Check it out!
